Home security is so important but I feel like with the current climate of uncertainty around us, it is even more crucial to keep our families safe. There are tons of different options out the for home security right now but Kangaroo is the brand that caught my eye for a few reasons that I will be explaining below.
Kangaroo is a very cost effective option. While home security is one of the most important things to me, we can’t pretend that our budget doesn’t matter as well. The Kangaroo Privacy Camera is under $100 which I think is very impressive. The camera is super easy to assemble and the directions are very straight forward. My husband had it setup in less than 10 minutes. The camera comes with a wall mount that attaches to the camera itself magnetically but it can also sit on a shelf or table without the use of screws.
The video quality on the Kangaroo is amazing as well! When I first saw the screen on my husband’s phone, I knew exactly where he had set it in the nursery without actually being there when he had placed it.
The camera has two way audio which is really cool! You could put this camera in a playroom and use this feature to let your kids know when dinner is ready or simply to ask them a question from the camera. Kangaroo also gives you the option to switch the camera to privacy mode either from the camera itself or from the app on your phone in case you do not want it streaming while you are at home or for any other reason. The camera does record all motion-triggered activity and stores it. The ability to record while you are live streaming is said to be coming soon on the Kangaroo website!
The camera is amazing but the thing that makes this the total package for me is how user friendly their app is. You are able to have it on multiple phones and from the app, you can add multiple cameras and label them so you can monitor multiple areas of the home from one app.
