As an individual that is passionate about all things dog, I was thrilled for the opportunity to work with Bully Buddy. Bully Buddy is a device that allows your dog to chew on their bully stick safely which is so important. I foster and adopt giant breed dogs (Great Danes and Saint Bernard’s specifically) and keeping them busy and entertained is something that can be a challenge depending on their personality and interests. We tested the Bully Buddy with my Great Dane and my foster pup who is a Saint Bernard and it was an absolute hit! The Bully Buddy is a very sturdy device that you insert a bully stick into. Once the stick is where you want it, you twist one end of the device to tighten it in place.

My dogs are so smart and usually figure out how to undo any sort of safety feature that may be on their toys but they did not figure this one out. The Bully Buddy kept the bully stick in place the entire time. The Saint Bernard was up first. She chewed on the bone in the device for about 40 minutes and at the end, there was still stick left! She is a mega chewer so I was impressed that it lasted so long. My Great Dane took the toy next and chewed on it for about 15 minutes. They weren’t able to get the last small piece of bully stick out which was perfect because it kept their interest. In the morning, the first thing my Dane did when he woke up was run back to where he left his new toy to continue chewing. Enrichment for my dogs is always important to me but it is especially important at this time when we are all doing our best to stay home and social distance.
